Course Description and Qualifications
The EMS Internal Auditor course takes place over three days and combines practical case study exercises with trainer presentations and group review sessions. The programme is based on the following key elements:
- Environmental issues and performance improvement drivers
- ISO14001 and the role of the internal audit
- Identification of environmental impacts and priorities
- Auditing principles
- Introduction to UK environmental law
- The internal audit process
- Auditor skills and competency requirements
Who should attend the EMS Internal Auditor Course?
The course is aimed at people who are, or will be, involved in an EMS internal audit process. Delegates may include system auditors, line managers, environmental champions, or Quality / Health and Safety professionals who may be moving towards a multiple audit role. A 2 day version of this course is also available for those who do not require the environmental law component.
Pre-requisites
No prior EMS, auditing or environmental management experience is necessary.

Prices start at £2850+VAT for the standard course, with bespoke versions also available and focused on key compliance issues relevant to the organisation. With a maximum group size of 15, in-company training proves a very cost effective option for organisations with 4 or more people to train.
