IEMA Associate Certificate (e-Learning option)

This course, which is accredited by the IEMA, is the Intermediate Module in the Cambio Integrated Professional Development (IPD) Programme.  The course is the most common route to IEMA Associate Membership - the national competency standard for people with environmental responsibilities in UK organisations. The syllabus covers environmental impacts and processes, legal compliance, pollution control and sustainability.  Beginning with basic assessment and control techniques, it progresses to managing environmental performance and long term sustainability strategies.

Duration

This Module consists of 40 hours guided learning - delegates must have already completed the Cambio IPD Foundation Module (total syllabus requirements - 80 hours).  
Programmed options are standard (8 weeks) and fast track (4 weeks) - It is possible to sit Modules 1&2 of the Cambio IPD programme consecutively and thereby complete the whole IEMA Associate Certificate course in 16 weeks (standard) or 8 weeks (fast track). 
Bespoke programme options also available (start and finish when you want).

Entry requirements

Delegates must have completed the Cambio IPD Foundation module or an equivalent (in either e-Learning or face to face format) to enter this module.  

Study format

As with all the Cambio e-Learning modules, study involves progression through a series of workbook tasks that utilise course notes and on-line resources.  Tasks are programmed according to standard or fast track progression so that you can see where you should be and when.  Motivational reminders, on line tutorials and study group networks help ensure that you are supported through the learning process.

Module start dates

Delegates are encouraged to join a cohort of fellow students following either a standard or fast track programme, but may elect to opt out and progress at their own pace.  Cohort start dates are generally the first Monday of the following months :

• Standard programme - Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov
• Fast track programme - Jan, Feb, Apr, May, Jul, Aug, Oct, Nov

Assessment process

Course assessement is via an open book examination completed at the end of the programme.  The paper is issued on the last day of the guided learning programme and candidates have a further two weeks to complete and return it.  Successful completion of this assessment leads to entry into the IEMA at Associate Membership level.

Course fees

Total course cost is £534+VAT - as always with our pricing this a 'no hidden costs' fee including all study materials and your first year's membership fees of to the IEMA.  For price comparisons, we recommend that you confirm the same is true from other providers.  Often you will be charged extra for study materials, Institute fees, revision aids etc.  Our only extra charge is a overseas mailing surcharge of £30 per Module.

A discount is available for delegates booking the two modules of the IEMA Associate Certificate programme together ie Modules 1&2 of the Cambio IPD programme.  The combined fee is £699+VAT when both modules are booked and paid for together.
