ISO14001 EMS Internal Auditor course (2 days)
Course Description and Qualifications
This course is based on days 1 and 3 of our 3-day EMS Internal auditor course. This two day course is therefore a shorter alternative for those organisations that do not require their internal auditors to receive training in environmental law.
As with the 3-day version the course combines practical case study exercises with trainer presentations and group review sessions. The programme is based on the following key elements:
- Environmental issues and performance improvement drivers
- ISO 14001 and the role of the internal audit
- Identification of environmental impacts and priorities
- Auditing principles
- The internal audit process
- Auditor skills and competency requirements
The course culminates with a practical audit exercise which is either done as a ‘live audit' of an appropriate work area or is a desk based exercise using photographs to simulate audit scenarios.
Delegates receive a Cambio certificate on completion of the course.
Who should attend?
The course is aimed at people who are, or will be, involved in an EMS internal audit process that does not include legal compliance assessments as part of the audit protocol. Where legal compliance checks are part of the organisation's audit process, the 3-day course is more appropriate.
Pre-requisites
No prior EMS, auditing or environmental management experience is necessary.
Delivery format and costs
Prices start at £1900+VAT for the standard course. With a maximum group size of 15, in-company training proves a very cost effective option for organisations with 4 or more people to train.
