Course Description and Qualifications
The course takes place over three days and combines practical case study exercises with trainer presentations and group review sessions. The programme is based on the following key elements:
- Environmental issues and performance improvement drivers
- ISO14001 and the role of the internal audit
- Identification of environmental impacts and priorities
- Auditing principles
- Introduction to UK environmental law
- The internal audit process
- Auditor skills and competency requirements
Who should attend?
The course is aimed at people who are, or will be, involved in an EMS internal audit process. Delegates may include system auditors, line managers, environmental champions, or Quality / Health and Safety professionals who may be moving towards a multiple audit role.
Pre-requisites
No prior EMS, auditing or environmental management experience is necessary.
